Racist Attack

A Chinese student was kicked unconscious in a racist attack, as reported by the local Brighton and Hove newspaper, the Evening Argus on the 15th May 2003. He was approached by a group of men in their 20s who made racist remarks, grabbed him round the throat and pulled his hair.

The victim aged 24 fell to the ground and was kicked unconscious before the group ran off with his wallet.

He lay on the ground for 30 minutes before he was able to get up and hail a taxi to take him home.

He suffered a dislocated jaw, a bruised knee, headaches and loss of memory after the attack.

The detectives involved said "This was a violent and racist attack".
