Darren has lived in Brighton for 13 years. He works for the Trust for Developing Communities managing the community centre and the Millwood Centre in the Tarner area.
What brought you to Brighton and Hove?
I came to visit arts students and university students that I studied in London with. After applying for Arts School and not getting in I stayed in Brighton for the high creative atmosphere of visual and audio art.
What’s your favourite place in Brighton and Hove?
Definitely the seafront.
How do you relax?
I cycle as far as I can and when I’ve forgotten why I was cycling I go back!
What living person do you most admire?
I’ll start with the most meaningful one to me, it’s my mum, as a single mother I was brought up well and I’m aware of choices.
I try to make as many choices that will maximise my experience of life that are safe and can contribute to community.
