Prabha Dhuna

Prabha has lived in Brighton for over 25 years. She and her husband ran a business for 20 years supplying wholesale catering and seafood to most of the Indian and Chinese restaurants in East Sussex. She now runs a Women’s Asian Clothes shop in the city.

What’s your favourite place in Brighton and Hove?

My favourite place is Brighton Marina. It is a vibrant and diverse destination with homes, a cinema, bowling complex, shops, bars/pubs and restaurants, many with harbour views. There is plenty to see and do.

Prabha DhunaHow do you relax?

I relax by either watching TV or listening to music. I enjoy watching Bollywood movies, as they have a lot of dancing and good music which helps one to unwind. Another way of relaxing is yoga. My best relaxation is going for holidays, which we do quite often, about four times a year.

What would you change about Brighton and Hove?

There are not many things I would change but it is important to bring together people of all creeds to promote greater understanding and to build on our vision.

To foster a safer environment and a better quality of life for residents and visitors to the area.

To break down barriers and promote opportunities for all and to bring as many different and diverse cultures together under the international language of food, whilst encompassing the arts of many cultures.
